Nathan grew up in rural southern Ohio and the local church was a large part of his life and growth in Christ. He has had a rather winding professional road that involved getting a degree in Biblical Studies and took him through jobs as an aircraft mechanic, small business owner, sales person, and eventually a security focused IT career which brought his family to Winston Salem. At 22 years old, he married his best friend, Sarah, while attending college in Lynchburg, Virginia. During their time there and a later move to Huntington, West Virginia – God gently continued to draw them more into the embrace of Christ while under the ministry of the Presbyterian church. They moved to Winston Salem in 2011 and started attending Hope shortly thereafter. They are blessed with three incredible kids: Izzy, Ellie, and Luther and have been so thankful for Hope’s ministry to themselves and their family. Nathan has been blessed to be involved in youth ministry with Hope for several years and enjoys running (slowly), hiking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
