More Beauty
Dear Hope Church Family,
Our major emphasis with the Making Room for More Campaign is for the grace of generosity to be cultivated and embraced and lived out in our church family and through our church family. The “more” that we pray for and earnestly desire to see extends far beyond a building or gathering capital. In this short video, Pastor Ethan Smith helps us to imagine what the “more” of generosity can mean for our shared mission together.
And, by way of encouragement, here are several touchpoints of the grace of giving taking root and flourishing in our midst:
Just this month Jean Moser transferred 169 pounds of food donated from Hope to the Clemmons Food Bank – the most we have ever been able to contribute.
Just this week, we were able to stock the cupboards at Speas Elementary, our neighbors down Polo Road, so that students showing up hungry to school could have some nourishment and focus on learning.
Just this week, in response to the Season of Gratitude Matching Gift, we received gifts from three of our children at Hope who had already completed their campaign commitments yet wanted to give beyond their pledges to activate the matching funds towards the Making Room for More initiative.
What a joy it is to see the generosity of one family inspiring and begetting more and more generosity, even among some of the youngest members of our church family!
