Sunday School
Dear Hope Church Family,
As fall approaches I would imagine that many of us are squeezing the last drops out of summer and relishing the time away from the school year. I get an antsy feeling that I have come to realize is a combination of the sense of loss that comes with the end of summer and the need to return to some of the regular rhythms that I was ready to break free from way back in the month of May. It is a little bit like an extended version of the feeling we might sometimes get on a Sunday evening. It’s the time in between.
The good news is that we have a lot to look forward to this fall. Having only lived here during the summer (we moved here in late June), I can tell you that we (the Shaw family) are especially excited for the connectedness that comes with the rhythms of the school year.
The school year rhythms at Hope will resume on August 17 and will include not only the return to 2 services (8:30 and 11:00 am) but also our full slate of Sunday School Classes.
Sunday School will meet from 10:00 to 10:45am, beginning August 17 and ending December 7. This will take place every Sunday except for the Sunday before Labor Day (August 31) and the Sunday after Thanksgiving (November 30).
Sunday School Classes will include:
HOPE KIDS
Preschool: The Gospel Story Bible (3s in Rm 110, 4s/K in Rm 106)
Kindergarten and 1st Grade: The Beginners Bible (Rm 109)
2nd Grade: Wonder Series from Dwell Curriculum (Rm 202)
3rd, 4th and 5th Grade: Marvel Series from Dwell Curriculum (3rd-4th in Rm 203, 5th in Rm 201)
YOUTH
Our Middle School teachers (Austin & Cheyenne Decker, Victoria Fonville, Emi Holman, and Drew Huffman) will be covering the books of Philippians & James in room 210.
Our High School Teachers (Jean Moser, Noah Downs, Jed Macosko, Emi Holman, Drew Huffman) will be working through the book of Hebrews in room 208.
ADULTS
Our adult Sunday School offerings will be divided into two different sessions each with two sections to choose from:

We look forward to reconnecting and in my case connecting with so many of you for the first time. We will be praying that God uses our time together in his word to bind us to one another as we grow in grace as a community.
